new obsessions
These glam little slim sticks come in two models: One rolls your delectable scent, the other lights your fire. By a leading Japanese maker of smoke paraphernalia, they can slot right into ciggie packs. But for the rest of us who don't care much for cancer schticks, they're perfect for lighting candles, incense sticks, eyeliner pencils...what have you.
These just in! Love the teak oars. That's probably what did it for me when Andy showed me this set designed by Sweden's Form Us With Love. Because Sagaform manufactured it, the price makes the entire set to good to resist.
what's in store?

Citizen Revealed: Philip Wood Logs On
Philip Wood will be your cruise director.
San Francisco-based curator-creator Philip Wood is a man about design, and a man about the world. His long-running lab Citizen Citizen has realized many an ingenious concept by the likes of Tobias Wong and FredriksonStallard (and which we've been only too thrilled to offer at A+R). His vision, commitment and championing has, in fact, made him a kind of unsung hero in the design arena.
This week, finally, the wizard behind the curtain has decided to reveal himself with the launch of philipwood.com. On it, the Brit boy shares his ruminations of "exploring life through objects." There are certainly a crush of sites in the universe that serve as a repository for anything and everything that vaguely suggests design. But there are very few offering a refined and astute edit such as this one. It's about time, Mr. Wood.
