new obsessions
These glam little slim sticks come in two models: One rolls your delectable scent, the other lights your fire. By a leading Japanese maker of smoke paraphernalia, they can slot right into ciggie packs. But for the rest of us who don't care much for cancer schticks, they're perfect for lighting candles, incense sticks, eyeliner pencils...what have you.
These just in! Love the teak oars. That's probably what did it for me when Andy showed me this set designed by Sweden's Form Us With Love. Because Sagaform manufactured it, the price makes the entire set to good to resist.
what's in store?

Tonight: Gary Baseman Unleashed!
Globetrotting Gary Baseman marks his return to L.A. with his grandest exhibition yet. Opening tonight at Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City, La Noche de la Fusión showcases more than 50 works, including a four-foot sculpture of his entirely new character, the Enlightened Chou, as well as a carnival-like atmosphere replete with costumes created just for the evening by five-time Emmy nominated designer Wendy Daku.

It's going to be bananas.
I'll be the one with the flashing camera.

La Noche de la Fusión, Corey Helford Gallery, 8522 Washington Blvd Culver City. Begins at 6:30 p.m., with a "ritual" at 9:15. Festival, runs 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.
