Vintage Marketplace A Current Affair Is Back This Weekend

Joey Grana of Scout and Richard Wainwright of NEW/FOUND are back this Saturday evening and all day Sunday with their wonderful vintage marketplace, A Current Affair, in the penthouse of downtown’s Cooper Design Space.

Some 30 vintage dealers from all over the country will be peddling their hand-picked wares. And it’s not all high ticket. I scored a quality costume jewelry necklace—a cheetah head pendant on a thick gold cord— for $25 last December, when I also had the pleasure of serving as host.

This Spring edition will feature filmmaker and photographer Jeanna Sohn of closetvisit.com hosting the show and styling 10 looks from the many vendors that will also be for sale. KCRW DJ Marion Hodges will spin the shopping soundtrack.

Also new with this installment: an online dimension launches the evening of March 17 at 9 p.m. PST. A new collection will appear every two weeks on the A Current Affair site.

Opening cocktail reception is Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. Shopping continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The $10 cover is well worth the access.

A Current Affair is at the Cooper Design Space, 860 South Los Angeles Street, downtown Los Angeles.
