As one of the few true iconoclasts in fashion, Norma Kamali has always been about doing it on her own-free of trend dictates, system conventions and peer mentality. She also continues to be one of the biggest knock-outs in fashion, as gorgeous as ever in looks and spirit.

Do we face our significant other looking for a mirror reflection of ourselves or optimistic desire of whom we might be? Photographer John Huck discovered the answer somewhere in between, after snapping portraits of more than 130 individuals identified by another half.

The best part of the season isn’t all the frosted spice cakes, or the bottomless bevies, or even the gifts. It’s the dressing up. Everyone’s willing to dig deeper into their closets and brave ornaments, er, accessories they’d fear the rest of the year.

With the release tonight of a very silly, very funny vid clip featuring John Legend, Will.I.Am, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, Maroon 5 and others rhapsodizing on the impact Dewey Cox has made in their lives, I’m reminded of the hysterical time we had last week on opening night of the mythical legend’s “Cox Across America Tour” at the Coxy, er, Roxy in Hollywood.
