Saturday, October 6 marks the return of one of my favorite vintage resources, A Current Affair.
Organizers Richard Wainwright (of NEW/FOUND) and Joey Grana (of Scout) have collected some 30 vendors from around the state to tempt me and visitors at the one-day only event at downtown L.A.’s Cooper Building. the event runs from 2 to 9 p.m., but diehards can cough up an additional $10 at entry to swoop in there before the crowds show up.
I scored amazing pieces at the December show. Among them, a gold brocade red chiffon Mandarin gown that I finally slinked into last Friday for Dita’s 40th birthday bash (a late night of sensory seduction). Suffice it to say, I’m not the vintage die-hard I once was, but I’m definitely aiming to get to this on the early side. See you there…
A Current Affair is Saturday, October 6 from 1-9 p.m. only at the Cooper Design Space, 860 S. Los Angeles Street, Los Angeles. Regular admission is $10.
