The coolest of them all, however, was Zume, a spunky sprite who must've been no more than 8 and was keeping as busy as any photographer there shooting every guest, every model and every moment. The star shirt? Gareth custom made it for him. The guitar bag? His lunch case, according to mom.
Another gushing mère, Michele Lamy, talked up her daughter Scarlett's talents, from the kitchen to the studio. By day Miss Scarlett caters for the endless stream of buyers, press and staff coming through Rick Owens' showrooms; by night, she paints, embroiders and gets up to all kinds of arty business. I just love the creating she does in wardrobe, such as pairing that sumptuous, bleached sable Rick once made under Revillon with her chocolate Wellies and sparkly bangles.
Reasons enough to start a brood.
