Lunch with La Lohan and Jeremy Scott
Me and Lindsay
How times have changed...today's downright civilized lunch with Lindsay Lohan and designer Jeremy Scott under a blazing sun at the Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood was a lifetime away from the late nights we spent at Teddy's with, say, Donatella Versace. (Though DV would've undoubtedly approved of the too-tawny tan Linds was flashing.) Funnily, some of the same players were there today, too, including Samantha Ronson, hair star Andy LeCompte, Cory Kennedy, editor Carlos Lopez, Mark the Cobrasnake and Steve Aoki (with whom I reminisced of the time he jumped the deejay booth and helped carry me out of Beauty Bar Hollywood--because my ACL finally tore and I couldn't even hobble out of there.).

But the midday scene couldn't have been tamer as the starlet-interrupted and some 85 guests dug into lobster risotto to celebrate her cover--shot and styled by Jeremy--for this month's Paper magazine.
"I like the pace of this afternoon," Lindsay told me. We hadn't caught up since our breakfast right before Christmas when I interviewed her for Harper's Bazaar, also this month's cover. This afternoon's mellow mood suit her perfectly. "I'm off to New York early tomorrow morning to continue work on my record. I cannot wait to see my sister." In her thigh-high dress and suit jacket, Lindsay looked eerily like some Westside wife. She was heading east to continue work on her record.
Girls on Film: Jeremy Scott and his Dollies
Of course, it was Jeremy and the magazine's mom and pop, Kim Hastreiter and David Hershkovitz, that brought out the likes of super stylist Arianne Phillips, Ione Skye, Cameron Silver, Constance and even publishing legend Annie Flanders. Jeremy continued to play the photographer, too, snapping away with his Polaroid, bedazzled in big, colorful crystals. New York is in the cards for him, too, next. The reason? "I scored a ticket to see Dolly Parton! I still cannot believe it." Just that kind of moment in time.
