Chez Jean Moureau with its Le Corbusier lounge |
The sound of power saws and drills filling the house these days, with one DIY project followed by another, silenced, at least in my head, when I spotted these interior shots of the futuristic homes of fashion designer Andre Courrèges and actress-director Jeanne Moreau, circa late 1960s, early 1970s. These images of the French stylephiles appear in an extended "Back in Time" album of archival pics at WWD. There's obviously such a treasure trove in the photo archives of my former employer, it's crazy there isn't a book or three.
Crazier, still, is that more homes--middle-class homes--don't look like these, like the future.
