This Weekend: Domino Bazaar

Andy sets them straight.

Think design, deals and Domino Saturday and Sunday—if you’re in L.A., of course. At the cavernous H. D. Buttercup building in Culver City, Domino mag is holding its first L.A. installment of its signature Bazaar (held the last two years in New York).
Guests dole out $20 to access an array of products specially discounted for the Bazaar. There are also “master classes,” from choosing paint colors and arranging flowers to lighting consultations and cooking healthy. (It's also worth the trip over there just to eat at the newest Father's Office around the corner. Heaven.)

We—as in A+R–were among the boutique businesses invited to showcase alongside
paying sponsors such as Ralph Lauren, Benjamin Moore, HP and Kohler. And at last night’s opening VIP reception, Andy and I finally got to see how the Domino team styled about a dozen of our products among the rest, in vignettes set up to look like different rooms in a home.

A favorite presentation was the way they featured the etched flatware from the Feran Adria collection, which we now only offer in our Venice store (the rest of our products pictured here can also be found at . We loved the mirrored dining table and the mix of crystal, gold and silver elements. But not all sat well with Andy with the way the team set the table. Proper Brit boy that he is, he was quick to correct the placement of the desert fork.

This is how it's done: From Feran Adria's FACES collection.
