This Just In: Revlon Gets Gucci

Cameron Diaz and Gucci Westman
Gucci Westman, the incredibly chic makeup artist whose influential looks appear on runways and in ad campaigns, is the new global artistic director at Revlon.
As she did during a similar role at Lancôme since 2003, Gucci will develop color schemes and other new products, as well as work with the brand's celebrity poster girls, including Jessica Alba and Halle Berry.
A boldface figure thanks to talent and good looks, Gucci's long been part of the glam squad for Natalie Portman, Drew Barrymore and Gwyneth Paltrow, whom she counts as friends, as well as working with photographers such as Steven Meisel, Mario Testino and Peter Lindbergh. Cameron Diaz is also among that mix, as well as godmom to Dashel, the 1-year-old son Gucci shares with husband, David Neville, the handsome co-designer for Rag & Bone.
While it all bodes well for Gucci, the one really coming out on top is Revlon, which no doubt wants to see its relevance rise where it counts in ways that no amount of celebrity advertising can: Among the make-up artists working backstage at runway shows and on location at shoots.
