Project Runway Crowned its Little Prince

Christian Siriano's Winning Collection

Am I surprised that Christian Siriano won the final challenge of Project Runway? A bit. It wasn't that the 21 year old elf with the throwback haircut wasn't extraordinarily talented. He is. And his queenie sass certainly made him a favorite among the populous. And, admittedly, his cinched Goth glamazons are right up my alley. So with that in mind, it's not that I was simply rooting for the L.A. homeboy Rami Kashou. Fashion knows no zip code. But in terms of originality and mastery, Rami's collection as a whole deserved better. And, sorry Michael Kors, but those colors were not Brady Bunch.
Tell me, was this just a personality contest? Or was it a matter of age?
Of course, the winner in all of this–besides Bravo's bottomline–is the HOPE Program, this season's recipient of proceeds from the network's on-line auction of the collections. HOPE helps individuals out of poverty by preparing them to find, keep, and develop careers through vocational, educational, and social services. Just six days and counting to score a look from the final collections by Jillian Lewis, Rami or Christian.
