So I'm absolutely blown away by this gift I received today from Evelyn Black, a young designer whom I met Friday night at the Jared Gold event. She emailed me this illustration with a beautiful note about her friend who would like to break into fashion journalism. Both the request to meet this friend and this work (complete with cleverly placed details of my A+R logo in the hair comb and earring!) along with her open, joyous enthusiasm for life are just so moving…well, I wanted to share.
If there's anything I've appreciated most about my vida lucky, it's the admirable, creative and big-hearted individuals I've been fortunate enough to meet along the way. THANK YOU EVEYLYN.
