Today, our daughter Nina turns two.
It might come as a surprise that I’m posting this.
I’ve been remiss in posting anything of late as we’ve been juggling several exciting new turns, including a second store on La Brea Avenue opening this month.
But, more to the point, I take a Garbo-esque approach when it comes to her, typically resisting posting anything about her on my social media outlets. That said, I did recently re-post this trio of images on FB when I gave our pals at la Eyeworks the green light to post them. They generously gifted Nina these cute specs (the pink ensemble came from China via our dear friends Garry George and Joseph Brooks, who also made her the turquoise necklace. Suffice it to say, lucky gal!).
Despite my usual reticence, I wanted to declare her birthday today, and with it how much sparkling joy and unbounded love she brings to our lives—all of our lives, from the extended family of friends, to our immediate kin to Andy and mine.
The universe works in mysterious ways, alright, and I cannot imagine anyone but you being my daughter, Nina Noo.
Love,
Mommy.
