While I prefer to wield the camera, sometimes I'm in the line of fire. And in this case, it's not that of Beth Ditto, who absconded the big black box off an unsuspecting photographer (the blonde in the striped shirt). The culprit is Emili Vesilind, one of the reasons to read the Los Angeles Times' Image section and a sister of sorts because, well, it's not enough that we write–we also like to take our own pics! We also love a chick who rocks it like Ms. Ditto (see Emili's recent feature lamenting the sorry style state of today's rock stars, specifically the women).
